About the Team:
We are expanding our Women's Health Department to meet the growing
needs of our community. The Director of Midwifery will lead,
develop, and manage a high-quality practice within Women's Health,
built on a foundation of excellence, compassion, and
patient-centered care. Our team of skilled professionals provides
top-tier obstetrical and gynecological care in a supportive,
collaborative environment. With access to a state-of-the-art

oversee staffing, implement policies and protocols, and ensure
top-tier care for midwifery patients.
Hours:
3x 8-hour office sessions at Aizer and 1 24-hour call at the
Hospital weekly

Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and professional development for midwives and
potential Team Leads within the department, fostering a culture of
excellence and continuous learning.
Maintain appropriate staffing levels by conducting initial
interviews for midwifery staff in collaboration with the
Recruitment Department.
Deliver high-quality obstetrical care, effectively managing
pregnancy and postpartum needs.
Provide exceptional gynecological care, accurately diagnosing and
treating patients with acute gynecological concerns.
Ensure accurate documentation within the electronic medical records
system in compliance with Aizer Health policies.
Develop and maintain up-to-date policies and protocols related to
the midwifery program.
Work collaboratively and cohesively with the OBGYN physicians to
ensure integrated, patient-centered care.
Support and provide high-quality care for laboring patients at Good
Samaritan Hospital according to the on-call schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
Licensed and registered as a Nurse Midwife in the State of New
York.
Proven experience managing low-risk pregnancies.
Strong leadership and mentorship skills with a passion for
developing a high-performing team.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving
abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary
team.
Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality
care.
Pay & Benefits:
Compensation starting at $165,000, commensurate with
experience.
